Challenges in delivering radiotherapy to lymph nodes in rectal cancer

“Nice paper. I find the treatment of lymph nodes challenging in rectal cancer.
In OCUM study, MRI accuracy for predicting LN (lymph nodes) involvement at diagnosis only 56% (basically a coin flip).
And then post neoadjuvant treatment even trickier (and some completely disappear).”

“How much margin do we need on individual lymph nodes when delivering rectal cancer radiotherapy?
Dennis Tideman Arp ran a prospective MRI study (physicist as PI (Principal Investigator)!) and estimated node position variation over the course of RT (Radiation therapy).”
