“New study on germline CDH1 variants shows lifetime cancer risks:
- Gastric cancer: 7% to 10% by age 80
- Breast cancer (female carriers): 37%
- These findings indicate a lower gastric cancer risk and similar breast cancer risk compared to previous estimates. Important for current management strategies in CDH1 variant carriers.”
