“It is ASCO again! This year with a theme: The Art and Science in Cancer Care, From Comfort to Cure.
I am delighted to share the work(abstract) with Western Australia medical oncologists and phase 1 cancer clinical trials teams at Linear Clinical Research.
We analyzed the impacts of 53 phase 1 cancer clinical trials with variety of more recent, innovative investigational compounds ranging from immune-based therapy, bi-specifics, molecularly matched targeted therapy, antibody-drug conjugates, and combination therapy over the last 4 years.
Our work shows that phase 1 cancer trials have moved towards inclusion of patients at much earlier lines of treatment, with overall performance that surpassed the chemotherapy period in the past. It should therefore be regarded as viable treatment option from the get go, guided by ancillary information including clinical, demographic, cancer biology, genomic, and immune signature.
The application of phase 1 cancer trials is underpinned by a great philosophy of art and science as mentioned, with results in both patient outcomes and drug development efficiency that can be enhanced further through robust synergy of human intelligence(HI) and artificial intelligence(AI).
Thank you Professor Michael Millward , Zelda Herbst, Principal Investigators, Sub-investigators, Research Physicians, Linear Oncology Study teams, and all staff for contributions to the work.
Looking forward to ASCO this year.
Not attending physically, but will be following the development, the spirit of excellence, and ‘hunger’ for betterment of life of patients with cancer around the globe together with fellow colleagues! Let’s network!
Abstract as below. You can also find it through ASCO24 abstract section, and search e23094.”
