Drew Moghanaki: A federal government official teaches a room full of pulmonologists
Drew Moghanaki shared on X:
“A federal government official teaches a room full of pulmonologists about ‘twelve different types of cancer associated with tobacco products.’
He explains the authority that the government has authorized the FDA to do to help the public with America’s tobacco problem.
We learned the initiatives below are now approved by the FDA and the desk of the White House for final signature, poised to help ~500,000 Americans who die every year because of their decision to ‘smoke for the nicotine and die because of the tar.’
Here’s a look at the next frontier for FDA legal authorizations and ‘money penalties’ being enforced through a collaboration with the US Department of Justice.
Check out what the FDA reviews each year submitted by profit-minded companies looking to make billions despite their product harming kids. Thank you for REJECTING MILLIONS of them.
We also learned about a wonderful program underway for over a decade to help Americans’ at risk for making bad decisions.
We also learned how we can learn more about the FDA’s efforts to protect public safety.”
