“I am thrilled to share that our latest manuscript, ‘Implementing Standard Diagnosis and Treatment for Locally Advanced Breast Cancer through Global Research in Latin America – Results from a Multi-Country Pragmatic Trial,’ is published online.
This work embodies my vision for oncology research: to establish a pragmatic, collaborative network that pushes the boundaries of scientific discovery, and also ensures these advancements are applicable and beneficial in real-world settings. By focusing on multi-country cooperation, this study harnesses diverse resources and expertise to address the challenges faced by locally advanced breast cancer treatments in Latin America.
This project has been about building capacity and fostering sustainable improvements in cancer care, especially within underserved populations. Through this initiative, we’ve been able to enhance local expertise and infrastructure, empowering hospitals and community centers to deliver better care and hope to those who need it most.
I am immensely proud of what we’ve achieved with this study, and I am grateful for the support of all the colleagues, collaborators, and the communities that participated.
Together, we are making a difference.”
