Alique Topalian: In Columbus at the Ohio Statehouse advocating with ACS CAN to help update the Cleveland Hope Lodge!
Alique Topalian, Research Scientist at Survivorship and Supportive Services at The University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, recently shared on LinkedIn:
“Spent the day yesterday in Columbus at the Ohio Statehouse advocating with American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) for Ohio HB 24 (improving access for biomarker testing) HB 177 (the copay accumulator bill to help patients with rising healthcare costs) and additional funding to help update the Cleveland Hope Lodge!
It was incredible speaking with 3 different house representatives and 2 senators about these complex issues.
The biomarker and copay accumulator bills relate very closely to my own health care experiences during treatment. I will continue to advocate in the fight against cancer through policy, research, and clinical care!”
