“Oligometastatic esophagogastric cancer (OMEC-4):
Definition:
- One organ with ≤3 metastases
- One extra-regional lymph node station
- Initially OM and without progression in number of metastases after systemic therapy
Staging:
- PET/CT imaging is recommended for basal staging and for restaging after systemic therapy
Treatment:
- Synchronous OM or metachronous OM and a DFI ≤2 years: systemic therapy followed by restaging and local therapy
- Metachronous OMD and DFI >2: upfront local therapy”
