Varian ASIA PACIFIC JAPAN INDIA (APJI) Internal meeting
We require at least 750 more LINACs in India today to treat cancer patients. At the Varian APJI meeting at Bangkok we put across a strong case for india specific Linear Accelerators keeping in mind the nesessity to operate almost non stop in a relatively polluted air , no frill machines which can treat more number of patients with minimal breakdowns .
The presentation also revolved around high TATs in case of service issues especially when the machines are installed in remote tier 3 and beyond cities in the future
Also the need to – COME TODAY , PLAN TODAY , TREAT TODAY could not have been more emphasised
Wonderful to see the response from the internal VARIAN team Sasa Mutic along with Roshni Datta and Samantha Bailey, MBA coming to Narayana hospital gurgram and meet our Radiation oncologist , Physicists and the Varian india team to brain storm the future developers in radiation oncology !
