“Pleased to share with you our latest 2 publications published on the same day about lung cancer:

‘Geographic differences in lung cancer: focus on carcinogens, genetic predisposition, and molecular epidemiology’.

In this international collaboration I was honored to represent the MENA region to assess the geographic differences in lung cancer, Burjeel Holdings is the only institution in this collaboration from the MENA region with top international centers like Dana Farber Cancer Center, University of Barcelona, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

‘Recommended approaches for screening and early detection of lung cancer in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region: a consensus statement’.

This report shed the light on the importance of a steering committee meeting was convened in October 2022, attended by a panel of ten key external experts in the field of oncology from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey, who critically and extensively analyzed the current unmet needs and challenges in the screening and early diagnosis of lung cancer in the MENA region.”
