Manni Mohyuddin: Read this paper carefully, then read it again
Manni Mohyuddin, Assistant Professor at the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah, shared on X:
“Read this paper carefully. Then read it again.
It will open your mind up about censoring in ways you prob have never thought about.
A true gem.
Must read for all.
To see this applied to the recent belantamab versus dara trial, see table:
Early censoring higher in dara arm (fit people left, unhappy with control arm)
Later censoring higher with bela arm (unfit people with tox left)
Net effect: Make bela look better, dara look worse.
Our lives would be much easier, science would be much better, if journals mandated reasons for censoring in the publication (as suggested in this great paper!)”
