“Many thanks, Omar, our first author in this article which was written with love to our families and the land where we all hail from: African nomadic pasturists; their statistical invisiblity, their resilience, the climate injustice and colonial arbitrary borders they have to contend with.
From the Sahel in western Sudan all the way to Somalia and Ethiopia and other areas of the African plains. We ask all of you to review our call for action, engage with, critique and add to our table of recommendations.”
Quoting ‘s post:
“New Publication alert!
Nomadic and Pastrolist communities in Africa are a unique population with minimal data available especially their health data and disease epidemiology.
In our new publication published in the journal of BMJ (and as sons and daughter of nomads in Africa), we highlighted the neglected cancer care needs and offered real world proffered solutions in closing the gap in cancer care and improve to cancer care among nomads.
Cancer has no face or race and equity is the only equalizer. Full text Link.”
