Heteroleptic bipyridine PdII-Bian complexes were cytotoxic in a low micromolar concentration range and demonstrated some selectivity toward cancer cells compared to noncancerous MRC-5 lung fibroblasts – Jemma Arakelyan
I am happy to share that the American Chemical Society (ACS) published our recent research work, where we showed that heteroleptic bipyridine PdII-Bian complexes were cytotoxic in a low micromolar concentration range and demonstrated some selectivity toward cancer cells compared to noncancerous MRC-5 lung fibroblasts. Moreover, we did additional mechanistic studies to prove the potential role of DNA damage and reactive oxygen species production (ROS) in their anticancer activity.
