“Prostate artery embolization (PAE) is a minimally invasive angiographic technique that significantly alleviates lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia. However, its applications in men with prostate cancer have been minimally studied. Dr Nainesh Parikh and colleagues from Moffitt Cancer Center review the literature to date with respect to the utilization of PAE in men with prostate cancer, and discuss the emerging indications for PAE in this patient population.”
