Self-referral for lung cancer tests would be a step in the right direction
EGFR Positive Lung Cancer UK shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Experts say self-referral for lung cancer tests would be a step in the right direction.
A third of our EGFR+ community saw their GPs multiple times before being diagnosed, often because their symptoms didn’t match the usual expectations and they didn’t fit the stereotypes for lung cancer.
We need to allow easier access to tests—it could save lives.”
