Mireia Crispin on the emerging fields of application of AI tools
ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in Cancer Care is hailed with a cautious optimism among the Oncology Community.
Recent approvals of AI tools for radiological and pathological image analysis in the USA and EU represent a significant advancement. However, to fully realise AI’s potential, collaborative efforts and education are essential to build trust among end users.
In her interview, Mireia Crispin highlights the emerging fields of application of AI tools, the need for ongoing education and training to help oncologists better understand AI and the role of the regulatory agencies to make AI a consolidated reality in oncology.
