Closing the gap in lung cancer care – Color
Color shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Lung cancer is the 3rd most common cancer, yet it has one of the lowest screening rates, often leading to later-stage diagnoses when survival rates are lower and treatment options become more intensive and costly.
This Lung Cancer Awareness Month, we’re spotlighting opportunities to improve these outcomes. In response to the American Cancer Society’s 2023 updates to lung cancer screening guidelines, Color and the ACS launched a free, nationwide program designed to guide individuals through the new criteria and offer support throughout their screening journey.
Launched last year, the program simplifies the screening process by managing all logistical steps from physician orders to finding and booking appointments at local clinics to assisting with next steps if abnormalities are detected.
In our latest blog, we dive into insights from this collaboration and what lies ahead in the effort to close critical screening gaps.”
