Routine imaging in post-operational PDAC vs symptomatic FU

A recent paper by Paul Andel, PhD-candidate of the Surgical Department at UMC Utrecht, was mentioned by Giovanni Marchegiani, Academic Pancreas Surgeon at the Hepato Pancreato Biliary (HPB) and Liver Transplant Surgery of the Padova University Hospital, on X:

“Recurrence after PDAC resection is sadly a fact.

EAHPBA study on 333 patients reveals routine imaging in post-operational PDAC vs. symptomatic FU. Prompt access chemotherapy = better survival.”

“Routine Imaging or Symptomatic Follow-Up After Resection of Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma”
