Julia Hoveyan: The first comprehensive analysis of pediatric and young adult CNS tumors in Armenia over the last 26 years.

Julia Hoveyan, Paediatric Oncologist at Paediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Centre of Armenia, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Exciting News!

After two years of dedicated research and hard work, I am thrilled to announce the publication of our paper titled “Trends in Paediatric CNS Tumors in Armenia: A Multicenter Retrospective Study” in the prestigious Child’s Nervous System Journal. This study marks the first comprehensive analysis of pediatric and young adult CNS tumors in Armenia over the last 26 years, providing crucial epidemiological insights along with vital information about diagnosis and treatment.

I had the incredible opportunity to present the abstract of this research at the SIOP Annual Congress in Ottawa, a milestone that became a reality thanks to the scholarship provided by St. Jude Global. This experience further emphasized the importance of international collaboration in advancing pediatric oncology research.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to whole study team, to Immune Oncology Research Institute and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital especially the amazing VPNOF team for their invaluable help and unwavering support throughout this journey. Special thanks to Samvel Bardakhchyan, Ibrahim Qaddoumi, Frederick Boop and Gevorg Tamamyan for their invaluable guidance and encouragement.

This achievement underscores the collaborative spirit and determination of our research team. Together, we are advancing knowledge in the field of pediatric oncology and making strides toward better outcomes for young patients.

I invite you to read the full paper in the Child’s Nervous System Journal to delve into the significant findings of our research. Thank you all for your support and encouragement.”
