Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: Highlighting Cancer Disparities
Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu shared on LinkedIn:
“Highlighting Cancer Disparities.
Even within high income countries with strong health systems, human resources and infrastructure, black men face a disproportionate risk of dying from prostate cancer- four times higher.
September is Prostate Cancer Awareness month. Grateful for the power of partnerships we have built over the years at MEDICAID CANCER FOUNDATION that enable us implement programs like ProjectIcon, Art4Cancer and He Screens He Wins.
One of the stongest sessions at the world cancer congress this year was the Partners one, choreographed by Ulrika Årehed Kågström. Without strong partnerships, we cannot win the war against cancer.
This is an appreciation post to our partners in prostate cancer awareness, screening and treatment. Johnson and Johnson and AstraZeneca.”
