Association between TIL and survival in patients with MBC receiving first-line chemotherapy
Elisabetta Bonzano, Radiation Oncologist at IRCCS San Matteo Polyclinic Foundation, shared a paper by Daniel Stover et al. on X, adding:
“Association between tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and survival in patients with metastatic breast cancer receiving first-line chemotherapy: analysis of CALGB 40502.
- To evaluate the association of sTILs with progression-free survival in randomized phase III trial CALGB 40502.
- sTILs were associated with progression-free and overall survival in chemotherapy-treated MBC when controlling for treatment arm; however, this effect did not remain significant after additional adjustment for hormone receptor status.”
