New study suggests significant overdiagnosis of prostate cancer in Europe – IARC
IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer shared the following on LinkedIn:
“A new study, published today in The BMJ, suggests significant overdiagnosis of prostate cancer in Europe due to highly variable patterns of opportunistic testing with a blood test that measures the amount of prostate-specific antigen (PSA).”
