William Aird: Vitamin B12 – PO or IM
William Aird shared a post on X:
“Vitamin B12 – PO or IM?
I posted a poll yesterday on Twitter that asked how you would replace Vitamin B12 in a patient with pernicious anemia, focusing on the choice between intramuscular (IM) and oral (PO) routes.
1600 votes.
Interestingly, the most popular answer was to treat with IM, not oral Vitamin B12 owing to poor absorption of the latter.
I am attaching some of your awesome responses.
Full discussion here.”
