Anne Knisely: Metronidazole and Cefazolin for SSI prophylaxis in gynaecological surgery
Anne Knisely, Gynaecology and Oncology fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared a post by AJOG on X, adding:
“Excited to share our QI paper published in AJOG. If you’re not already adding metronidazole to cefazolin for SSI prophylaxis in gynaecological surgery, you should start!
Adjusted OR for SSI 0.49 decrease with addition of metronidazole.”
Quoting AJOG’s post:
