Sachin Jain: SCAN has been named #25 on People Magazine nationally of ‘Employers Putting Their Comunities First.’
Sachin Jain shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m thrilled to share the news that SCAN has been named number 25 on PEOPLE Magazine nationally of ‘Employers Putting Their Comunities First.’
When I first joined SCAN in 2020, I was struck by Nancy Monk’s statement, ‘happy employees is equal to happy members.’
It aligned with everything I learned from the late, great Leeba Lessin at CareMore Health and has remained our mantra in our approach to supporting our employees.
Even as the Medicare Advantage industry faces major headwinds and declines in revenue, we are doing our best to enhance member and employee benefits.
It’s the little things that our team does for our employees that make it a truly special place to work.
Two years ago, we took all our employees (and their families) to Knott’s Berry Farm.
Last year, we took all our employees (and their families) to Universal Studios.
Recharge days (4 additional company-wide holidays to lengthen long weekends), birthdays off, a floating holiday for non-dominant religious observances, tuition reimbursement, volunteer time off (in which employees are allowed company time to volunteer) – all add up to an employee experience that people genuinely value.
We have even offered a Volunteer Exit Program that helps people who want to return to school, make a career transition, or retire leave the company with an enhanced severance on their own terms.
At a time of rising healthcare costs, we do everything we can to hold employee healthcare costs stable.
As one SCAN employee told the People Magazine survey:
‘SCAN sticks by their mission to keep seniors healthy and independent, always thinking of new ways to service our diverse group of members,’ says one team member.
‘Employees are treated the same. The organization always thinks about our needs as employees and recognizes our hard work and efforts throughout the year with various rewards and company events and outings.’
Lots of companies claim to care about its employees—and it’s empty, hollow corporate talk.
SCAN has always *truly* cared about its members and employees and am proud to inherit and extend this legacy.
We welcome your interest in joining our growing team!”
