Awdhesh Kalia: Pleasure to host Monika Ruiz Ottati for her first NIH UPWARDS program
Awdhesh Kalia, Professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared on LinkedIn:
“It was an absolute pleasure to host Monika Ruiz Ottati, an undergraduate student from Houston Christian University, for her first research experience as part of the NIH UPWARDS (Underserved Working Towards Research Diversity in Science) Training Program at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
This opportunity, also supported by the CPRIT Training Program, provides first-generation students with a unique window into the world of research.
Programs like UPWARDS are essential in fostering diversity in science and empowering the next generation of researchers.
I am grateful for the chance to contribute to this meaningful initiative and look forward to seeing the incredible work that Monika will achieve in the future.”
