Research at Canadian Cancer Society shared on X:
“We at Canadian Cancer Society are thrilled to announce the recipients of the Workplace Cancer Research Grants:
Preventing Occupational Cancers!
This program will support research projects focused on advancing workplace cancer prevention and meaningful change for workers in Canada.
In a unique partnership with CIHR-ICR, IC-IRSC and 14 workers’ compensation boards and labour unions in Canada, we’re investing $1.38 million in 7 projects aiming to lower the chances of people getting cancer due to various factors related to their jobs.
Thanks to all who applied and to our reviewers and labour movement representatives who offered their time and expertise to ensure the success of this competition.
Congratulations to the funded applicants!
