Tunji Alausa: A noteworthy milestone for the citizens of Misau, Bauchi
Tunji Alausa shared on LinkedIn:
“This week marks a noteworthy milestone for the citizens of Misau, Bauchi.
It was my pleasure to hand over an appointment letter to Rufai Abdu Dachi, who has been appointed as the first Acting Medical Director for Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Misau.
In alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on improving citizens’ access to meaningful and comprehensive healthcare, the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (FMOH and SW) has instructed FMC Misau to establish its own nursing school next year.
This initiative will increase educational and career opportunities for the approximately 2 million residents of Bauchi, its surrounding states, and address the brain drain crisis.
I extend my gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his unwavering commitment to revamping the healthcare sector, and the Governor of Bauchi State, H.E. Sen. Bala Mohammed, for transferring Misau General Hospital to the Federal Government for conversion into a Federal Medical Centre.
Congratulations once again to Dr. Dachi on his appointment.
We at the FMOH&SW are committed to providing all the necessary support needed to help succeed in your role and deliver tertiary care to Nigerians in Misau and its surrounding areas.”
