Cancer Research UK shared The BMJ’s post on X, adding:
“We are among the organisations that have signed an open letter to the new Government urging them to reintroduce the Tobacco and Vapes Bill in the first King’s Speech on 17 July. This is a vital step towards a Smokefree UK and reducing the number of cancers caused by smoking.”
Quoting The BMJ’s post:
” ‘The UK now has the chance to lead the world in phasing out smoking. The new government must seize it with both hands.’
An open letter from doctors and public health campaigners urges the government to move forward with the Tobacco and Vapes Bill.”
