“Finally! A much needed discussion on EUHTA that is Open and Inclusive!
The Cancer Drug Development Forum (CDDF) workshop on HTA in Cancer Drug Development this week has not only managed to bring on some spectacular speakers but also inspired much needed Real Discussions!
Day 1 shaped the discussion around multi-stakeholder perspectives on Evidence Needs.
Two of my takeaways so far:
- Evidence generation needs to address multiple stakeholder questions
- Solutions come from going into spaces that seemed impossible before
It was refreshing to hear patient views throughout the day that centered the discussions on Human Care (and just not clinical care).
I fully support EUHTA’s ambition and truly believe Europe is leading the way in EquitableAccess to innovations. However, as one of the speakers suggested they are also going through the pains of a ‘teething phase’.
Good news: There is much willingness to listen to each stakeholder perspectives.”
