
KWF: Viable Business Case for Infrastructure Initiatives
The Dutch Cancer Society (KWF) Viable Business Case program supports oncology infrastructure projects in developing sustainable, independent business models through strategic collaborations and scaling, ensuring long-term viability beyond initial project funding.
Eligibility Criteria

Open to all oncology infrastructure projects (e.g., biobanks, databases, facilities, platforms).

At least one infrastructure project funded by KWF must be included as part of the collaboration.

Focus must be on developing a sustainable business model, not continuation of the original infrastructure or new infrastructure creation.

A Baseline Assessment must be completed and approved before invitation to submit a full proposal.
Funding Details

Total budget: €1–1.5 million.

Budget per project: €250,000–500,000.

Project duration: 2 years.

Funding supports the development of a viable business strategy but not operational costs or personnel salaries for existing infrastructures.
