The SSO David L. Bartlett Legacy Award 2027 supports emerging surgical oncology leaders through a personalized observership and $2,500 travel stipend. It recognizes contributions to education, mentorship and innovation in advanced cancer therapies.
Recipients spend two to three days with an experienced SSO mentor, developing clinical knowledge and professional connections.
Eligibility and Application Criteria
- Hold an Assistant or Associate Professor appointment.
- Have at least five years of clinical practice experience.
- Maintain active SSO membership.
- Have submitted and presented an ACT Annual Meeting research abstract within the past three years.
- Complete the nomination or self-nomination stage.
- Eligible nominees must subsequently submit a full application.
Funding Details
- Travel stipend: $2,500.
- Observership: Two to three days.
- Payment follows confirmation of observership dates and submission of the required form.
