The Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) Research Grant Award

The Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) Research Grant Award supports meritorious laboratory and clinical research proposals focused on pediatric, adolescent, and young adult (AYA) cancers. The goal is to advance treatment and outcomes through funding early-stage or ongoing projects based in the Maryland/DC/Northern Virginia region. Awards are for a one-year period starting December 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Research must be conducted in Maryland, DC, or Northern Virginia (regardless of employing institution location)
  • U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or foreign nationals with valid J1/H1B visas (through end of grant) are eligible
  • Applicants may hold other research grants but must demonstrate no scientific or budgetary overlap
  • Must be employed by a U.S. institution at the time of application and throughout the award period

Funding Details

  • Maximum Award: 75,000 USD for a one-year period
  • Direct costs may include salary, research supplies, and equipment (≤ 5,000 USD)
  • Indirect costs and administrative expenses (e.g., travel, memberships, parking) are not allowed

Key Deadlines

  • Submission Deadline: May 4, 2025, by 11:59 PM EST
  • Notification of Award: August 2025
  • Award Period: December 2025 – December 2026
  • Grant Check Presentation: November 1, 2025, during CCF Gala at Martin’s Crosswinds (Greenbelt, MD)

Award Obligations

  • Submit a 2–3 page report within 90 days of grant completion
  • Attend CCF Gala on November 1, 2025
  • Participate in 10th Annual CCF Research Symposium (June 2026)
  • Cite CCF support in all related publications and notify CCF of publication outcomes
