The Conquer Cancer Research Professorship in Ovarian Cancer 2027, offered by Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation, provides flexible support to established oncology researchers who have made significant contributions to ovarian cancer research and are committed to mentoring the next generation of investigators.
The 2027 competition is supported by the Susan & Teresa Schwab Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. The award is intended for outstanding full professors at U.S. academic medical centers, with the selected professor expected to continue leading research while actively mentoring junior faculty and trainees. The Letter of Intent deadline is September 23, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must hold the rank of full professor at a U.S. academic medical center.
- Candidates should have an established record of significant contributions to ovarian cancer research.
- Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to mentoring the next generation of oncology researchers.
- The applicant must be a current ASCO member or submit an ASCO membership application with the grant application.
- Applicants must be able to dedicate at least 75% of their professional time to research activities during the award period.
- Individuals who already hold an endowed professorship at their institution may apply.
- Applicants may hold only one active Conquer Cancer research grant at a time.
Funding Details
- The Research Professorship provides flexible research funding to support the recipient’s overall ovarian cancer research activities.
- The current Conquer Cancer Research Professorship structure has been described as $500,000 in total support.
