The Pfizer–Astellas Independent Medical Education Grant for Guideline-Concordant Care and New Data in Muscle-Invasive Bladder Cancer (MIBC) through locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma (la/mUC) supports independent educational initiatives that address knowledge and practice gaps in the rapidly evolving bladder cancer treatment landscape.

The program focuses on helping healthcare professionals apply new and existing evidence to optimize care for patients with MIBC and la/mUC, including guideline-recommended first-line treatment, perioperative therapies, adverse-event management, multidisciplinary care, and shared decision-making. The program is limited to projects in the United States.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant organizations must be based in the United States.
  • Eligible applicants include medical, nursing, allied health, and/or pharmacy professional schools.
  • Healthcare institutions, including large and small institutions, may apply.
  • Only organizations are eligible to receive grants; individuals and independent medical practice groups are not eligible.
  • The applicant must be the project/program lead or an authorized designee.
  • The project/program lead must be an employee or contractor of the requesting organization.
  • The requesting organization must be legally able to receive funding directly from Pfizer Inc.

  • Project duration: 18–24 months
