The 2027 Cary Presant, MD Young Investigator Award, offered by the Medical Oncology Association of Southern California (MOASC), supports early-career oncology investigators conducting new clinical and translational cancer research.
One investigator will receive a $25,000 one-year research grant for a project running from July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2028. Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must hold an MD or DO degree with an intention to practice clinical oncology.
- Applicants must have initiated or completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in hematology and/or oncology.
- Candidates must be no more than 7 years beyond completion of fellowship training.
- Proposed research must represent a new project.
- Projects must focus on clinical or translational oncology research.
- Applications will be evaluated based on academic merit and feasibility, including the potential contribution to oncology research and patient care.
