The Lustgarten Equity, Accessibility, and Diversity (LEAD) Project supports efforts to improve participation of underrepresented groups in pancreatic cancer clinical trials and broaden research resources to better reflect disease diversity.
Eligibility Criteria
- Investigators must demonstrate significant contributions to their field.
- Applicants must have substantial involvement in diversity, equity and inclusion in pancreatic cancer clinical research or relevant areas.
- Clinical applicants must work at, or collaborate with, high-volume pancreatic cancer centres.
- Those centres must have ongoing pancreatic cancer trials and serve diverse populations.
- Clinical proposals must define measurable recruitment and retention goals.
- Non-clinical proposals may expand or analyse datasets representing minority patient groups.
- Investigators must be willing to collaborate with other Lustgarten-funded researchers.
Funding Details
- Maximum: $150,000 annually for up to three years — $450,000 total, including indirect costs.
- Indirect costs cannot exceed 10% of direct costs.
- Continued funding depends on satisfactory progress.
Deadline
- January 22, 2027.
- Award notifications are expected in early summer 2027.
