The Lustgarten Foundation–AACR Career Development Award for Pancreatic Cancer Research, in Honor of John Robert Lewis supports early-career scientists conducting research focused on pancreatic cancer. The program particularly seeks to support promising investigators from historically underrepresented groups in cancer research. AACR
Proposed projects may involve basic, translational, clinical, or population sciences and must have direct relevance to the understanding, detection, diagnosis, or treatment of pancreatic cancer.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must hold a PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree.
- Applicants must hold an assistant professor, instructor, research assistant professor, or equivalent faculty position.
- Applicants must have started their first independent faculty position on or after July 1, 2021.
- Applicants must be AACR Active members in good standing.
- Applicants must be members of the AACR Minorities in Cancer Research (MICR) constituency group.
- Applicants must not have previously served as PI on a substantial independent research award. AACR
