Cancer Research UK Early Detection and Diagnosis Programme Award 2026

Cancer Research UK Early Detection and Diagnosis Programme Award 2026

Due Date: 09/11/2026

The Cancer Research UK Early Detection and Diagnosis Programme Award 2026 supports ambitious, long-term research programmes designed to transform how early cancers and precancerous conditions are detected and diagnosed. Projects should bring together multiple connected research strands around a central scientific question and demonstrate a clear route toward clinical or population impact.

Successful programmes can receive up to £2.5 million over five years. Research may address biomarker discovery, diagnostic technologies, clinical trials of early detection approaches, health systems, decision support, public behaviour, and health economics. The current outline application deadline is September 11, 2026.
