The UF Health Cancer Institute (UFHCI) Catalyst Awards support inter-programmatic cancer research projects addressing at least two UFHCI strategic crosscutting themes. The mechanism is designed to foster collaboration, demonstrate impact, support Early-Stage Investigators, and leverage UFHCI shared resources.
Eligibility Criteria:

Must include at least one UFHCI member serving as Contact Principal Investigator (PI).

Only independent investigators may apply as PI; preference given to Early-Stage Investigators.

Applications must address at least two UFHCI crosscutting themes (AI, Engineering, Survivorship, Precision Oncology, Lifestyle Factors, Immune Modulation, Clinical Outcomes & Quality Care).
Funding Details:

Up to 3 awards of $50,000 each (direct costs only).

Project must be completed within 1 year; no no-cost extensions permitted.

Funds contingent upon IRB/IACUC approval within 90 days of award notification.
