The AACR-ALK Positive Lung Cancer Research Fellowship is a two-year grant designed to support a postdoctoral or clinical research fellow working on a mentored project directly relevant to ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer. This program encourages innovative research in basic, clinical, translational, or population sciences to help establish the recipient’s career in the field of lung cancer.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must hold a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent) in a related field.
- Must not be a candidate for another doctoral degree.
- Must hold a mentored research position (postdoctoral fellow, clinical research fellow, or equivalent) by September 1, 2025.
- Doctoral degree or medical residency must have been completed within the past 5 years (not before September 1, 2020).
- Must work under a mentor at an academic, medical, or research institution.
- No citizenship or geographic restrictions (visa status must allow completion of project at host institution).
- Must be an AACR member in good standing or submit a satisfactory membership application by the deadline.
Funding Details:
- Amount: 130,000 USD total.
- Duration: 2 years.
- Use of Funds: Salary, benefits, and research-related expenses (excluding clinical compensation and indirect costs).
