The IASLC Academy is a global professional development program for early-career physicians in thoracic oncology. It combines mentorship, education, and research experience to foster the next generation of leaders in lung cancer care. Participants conduct a one-year research project under expert mentorship and present their findings at the 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must hold a medical degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.

Must be early-career professionals within 1–6 years of their initial faculty appointment or at an equivalent post-training phase.

Eligible disciplines include medical oncology, radiation oncology, pulmonology, thoracic surgery, pathology, and radiology.

Must be active IASLC members and maintain membership throughout the program.

Must have institutional and local mentor support to complete the required research project.
Funding Details:
- The IASLC covers:

Round-trip economy airfare to Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Five nights of hotel accommodation during WCLC 2026.

Complimentary registration for WCLC 2026.

Ground transportation to and from the airport.

Participants must complete at least 80% of mentorship meetings.

No direct financial research funding is provided.

Projects must focus on lung cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, or related thoracic malignancies and be feasible within one year.
