A short-term editorial training fellowship jointly offered by the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) and FEBS’s journal Molecular Oncology. The fellow works remotely with the editorial team for three months (part-time) and may visit the Editorial Office in Heidelberg. The program develops hands-on skills in manuscript triage, reviewer selection, scientific writing, and developmental editing.
Eligibility Criteria:

Current EACR member.

At least 2 years of PhD experience by the application date.

Does not hold a faculty position and/or managerial role.

Able to commit ~20 hours/week for 3 months (remote), plus potential short visit to Heidelberg.
Funding Details:

One-off award: 2,000 EUR at fellowship start.

Travel support: up to 2,000 EUR for a short visit to the Editorial Office (Heidelberg).

Duration: 3 months, part-time (20 hours/week), remote with flexible schedule.

Estimated start: February 2026.

Training scope: first-look evaluation, admin/editorial checks, writing article highlights, reviewer search; from month 2, join Editorial Status Meetings, article commissioning, and developmental editing.
