The Urologic Oncology Fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is one of the oldest and most prestigious programs of its kind, established in the early 1960s. Accredited by the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO), it provides rigorous clinical and research training to develop academic leaders in urologic oncology. Each year, five clinical fellows are trained in multidisciplinary cancer care and advanced surgical techniques within the nation’s top-ranked cancer center.
Eligibility Criteria:

Successful completion of a Urology residency with board certification or eligibility.

Commitment to a career in academic or translational urologic oncology.

Demonstrated excellence in research or clinical performance with leadership potential.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills supported by recommendation letters.

Active membership in the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO).

Eligible for a Texas medical license.

Foreign medical graduates must hold a valid ECFMG certificate and have passed all three parts of the USMLE.
Funding Details:

Fellowship duration: 1–2 years (clinical and/or research components).

Fellows may extend training to include additional research years.
