The Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) invites applications for the 2026 CGSO Fellowship Match for programs starting in August 2027. These fellowships provide advanced surgical oncology training at ACGME-accredited institutions in the United States and SSO-approved, Royal College-accredited programs in Canada. Fellows gain expertise across all domains of cancer surgery through rigorous clinical, research, and multidisciplinary education.
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have completed a general surgery residency in an ACGME- or RCPSC-accredited program.

Candidates must meet the new case minimum requirements implemented for CGSO applicants.

Applicants to U.S. programs must comply with ACGME Program Requirements for Complex General Surgical Oncology.

Applicants to Canadian programs must meet the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada standards.

Applicants must obtain an ERAS Token to apply and register with the National Residency Match Program (NRMP).
Funding Details:

Programs are fully accredited and provide comprehensive clinical and research training in surgical oncology.

Fellows engage in multidisciplinary care and may participate in basic, translational, or clinical research projects.
