Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and the American Cancer Society (ACS) jointly support collaborative, prevention-focused cancer research projects bridging basic biology to prevention. The program funds interdisciplinary partnerships between U.S.- and U.K.-based investigators to accelerate scientific progress and clinical benefit in cancer prevention.
Eligibility criteria:

Each team must include one Principal Investigator (PI) from an eligible U.S. institution and one from a U.K. institution.

U.S. PI: independent investigator with a full-time faculty position (or equivalent) at a U.S. nonprofit academic institution.

U.K. PI: must meet CRUK eligibility guidelines for the Biology to Prevention scheme.

True collaborations are expected, combining distinct yet complementary expertise.

Institutions must have active research programs and appropriate infrastructure.

Projects overlapping with other funded work are not eligible.
Funding details:

Duration: up to 5 years.
- Maximum total costs:

U.S. PI: up to 946,000 USD (860,000 USD direct + 10% indirect).

U.K. PI: up to 600,000 GBP total direct costs.

Funds may support personnel, supplies, travel, and equipment (over 5,000 USD with approval).

No student tuition or office expenses covered.

Annual and final progress and financial reports required.
