One-year, mentored award supporting early-career physician-investigators advancing cancer survivorship research during the transition from fellowship/training to a faculty role. Open to U.S. and international applicants.
Eligibility Criteria:

Physician (MD, DO, or international equivalent); MD/PhD eligible if both degrees completed before the grant starts.

In the last two years of final oncology subspecialty training at application submission, or completed within three months of the deadline (some program-structure exceptions considered).

Within 10 years of medical degree (exceptions possible for foreign medical graduates).

Planning an investigative career in clinical oncology with a survivorship focus.

Valid, active medical license in the country of research.

Working in a clinical research setting.

Mentor from the sponsoring institution; if mentor is not an ASCO member, include a supporting letter from an ASCO member at the institution.

ASCO member or membership application submitted with the grant.

Able to commit at least 60% total effort to research during the award period.
Funding:

Total: USD 50,000 for one year, paid in two equal installments.

At least USD 46,000 to research costs; up to USD 1,500 for required travel (including ASCO Annual Meeting ceremony); up to 5% (USD 2,500) indirects.
