University of North Carolina Fellowship in Surgical Oncology

Two-year program combining a clinical year (junior staff privileges, independent supervised clinic, extensive operative exposure) and a research year (formal training in grant writing, experimental design, statistics; projects across GI, breast, melanoma, endocrine). Training spans melanoma, breast, GI, endocrine, esophageal, pancreatic, colorectal, sarcoma, and HPB diseases within UNC Hospitals and the North Carolina Cancer Hospital.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduates of an ACGME-accredited (U.S.) or RCPSC-accredited (Canada) general surgery residency.

  • Apply via the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO); program participates in the NRMP match.

Funding Details:
