University of New Mexico Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship

Two-year, ACGME-accredited CGSO fellowship (one fellow per year) at New Mexico’s only NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Broad multidisciplinary training across breast, melanoma, sarcoma, colorectal, HPB, pancreatic, endocrine, esophageal, lung, complex pelvic, and peritoneal surface malignancies. Includes protected research time, required rotations in medical oncology, radiation oncology, and surgical pathology, plus second-year electives. Training spans open and minimally invasive/robotic oncologic resections in a high-volume tertiary/quaternary referral setting.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited general surgery residency (U.S.) or a RCPSC-accredited residency (Canada).

  • Certified by, or admissible to, the American Board of Surgery.
