Stanford University Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship

Two-year, ACGME-accredited CGSO fellowship (SSO-approved) offering advanced training in complex oncologic surgery and multidisciplinary cancer care. Strong emphasis on HPB, complex upper GI, and retroperitoneal sarcoma; robust exposure to endocrine/melanoma, colorectal, and breast; four months of protected research; and non-surgical rotations in medical oncology, radiation oncology, and pathology. Fellows train within the NCI-designated Stanford Cancer Institute and the New Stanford Hospital.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Completion of an accredited general surgery residency in the US or Canada.

  • Qualification to sit for the American Board of Surgery examination by the fellowship start.

  • Application via ERAS; program participates in the NRMP CGSO Match.

  • International medical graduates: ECFMG certification required (upload in ERAS).
