H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute — Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship

Two-year, ACGME-accredited CGSO fellowship organized through USF with all rotations at Moffitt. Curriculum includes 18 months of clinical rotations (breast, melanoma, sarcoma, endocrine, GI, HPB), 4 months of research, and 2 months across medical oncology, radiation oncology, and pathology. High-volume, multidisciplinary training with exposure to CRS/HIPEC, isolated limb infusion, percutaneous hepatic perfusion, intralesional/adoptive cell therapies, and minimally invasive/robotic approaches. Fellows average ~450 operative cases; optional third research/advanced clinical year may be available.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Eligible for Florida medical license.

  • U.S. citizens or applicants with appropriate visas allowing at least two years’ lawful residence.

  • Application via ERAS; standard CGSO prerequisites apply (completion of general surgery residency and ABS board eligibility/certification).

Funding Details:

Salary and benefits per institutional GME policies (sample contract available). Research is expected; optional third year encouraged for surgeon-scientist pathways (not guaranteed).
